Starting the new year out right

My New Years Resolution?  Save more, spend less.  If this is one of your resolutions too, you are in the right place.

First things first, make a budget and stick to it (as best as you can).  Figure out what your budget needs to be or even just what you want it to be.  I am starting out with a $50/week budget for food AND household items (This does not include baby items).  Find a number that is good for you to start with and see if you can shrink that number as you get better at saving.  I would love to see this number down to $25/week by the end of the year!

My second resolution...  Do more shopping... Locally.  Keeping money in your local community is fabulous!  But when you are on a tight budget it can be difficult and sometimes you just can't beat those online prices and I for one LOVE my coupons!  But when you can, shop local and check out your local RelyLocal.  They are an AWESOME resource for everything local!
